And the "eyes" have it...

I was just reminded this week by a conversation with my mother that I got cataract surgery before her. Infact several years before her.

Now, in most cases the parent go through things before the child but in my situation I went first.

Unfortunately for me the cataract surgery did not help or correct my inability to see. In a recent conversation with my husband I learned that he thought it was not a good idea. I had the exact same thought but we followed the doctor's advise and went through with it, obviously.

I asked him why he did not speak up at the time, he said it was because he wasn't an eye doctor and it was my eye and my decision. I told him I wished he had said something because I was having the same doubts about it.

It was bad enough I was continuing to go through the eye injections even though they were no longer even providing temporary corrections. The only positive thing about the injections was it was slowing the leaking of the damaged and dead vains.

However the upside to having the cataract surgery is that now I can say it is my bionic eye when people comment on the reflection off my lense.
