Healing

A little over two months ago I had surgery on my finger to remove an arthritic cist. It was a simple proceedure, however I went from no pain at all just a large clear bump on my finger to pain with too much use and what appears to be a smaller hard bump on the knuckle.
It is healing, just not fast enough in my opinion. I know patience and it will heal as it should, I just want it done and back to normal.
You never know how much you actually use something until there is pain involved in using it to do normal actions - typing, scratching, washing your hair, etc... However, I have figured out I can exercise it with no pain in warm water. Putting ice on it just makes the swelling go down an numbs it for a bit.
My nails are growing and I am extatic about that except when I stab my healing finger when putting my hair up, so I am now in the habit of rubbing my finger to sooth the pain.
