Small Steps --- Giant Leep

Today had a rocky start but dispite the pain, the rain, and the fear I ventured out.

You see this is one of the Saturdays that is designate for grocery shopping, so leaving the house was a must. There was no putting it off since I had already set up the pick-up date and time.

I had made it through the worst of the pain so I pushed through the dull pain and my fear of driving in the rain. To some the fear of driving in the rain my seem irrational and I would say in some cases that may infact be the case but for me it is not irrational, I am blind in one eye and of course it is my left eye so it makes seeing things even on a clear day difficult so you add rain into the mix there goes a whole other level to the difficulty, hence the fear.

Pulling it mentally together I got on the road to town. I was fortunate that it wasn't raining too hard which did help lessen the axiety. Traffic wasn't too bad, but it was more than I expected.

Made it back home without any hiccups. Now previously I would have just put the cold stuff away and leave the rest for later, anyone else do this. I have a really bad habit of not eating before I go shopping so by the time I get back home I am starving so I get the cold stuff put away and then stop to eat.

Well today, I ate while I waited for my groceries to be brought out. So, I got started putting things away. I repackaged the raw meat and put it in the freezer instead of in the fridge to be done later and just followed through with everything else. And it felt like an accomplishment of being a better version of myself.

I have been looking at my shoes that have been downstairs instead of in my closet so, I finally got them upstairs but put them under my bed instead of in the closet so I don't have to dig to find what I want to wear, when I wear shoes.

So, despite the bumpy start to my day I have followed through to being a better version of myself. Every accomplishment moves my further up the mountain.
